I started Darrell’s class in November of 2011. A friend recommended that I try it out and after seeing 188 lbs. on my scale; I knew it was time for me to do something. After having 2 children and never losing all the weight after each pregnancy, I realized my weight was getting out of hand. I had no energy, I ate poorly and was not happy with what I saw in the mirror.
The class size was small and not intimidating at all. Everyone in the class was very supportive to newcomers and made me feel like a part of the group right away. The class was hard and challenged my body in ways it had not been challenged in years.
My muscles were sore and I felt physically exhausted after classes, but at the same time I couldn’t wait for the next class to see what we would be doing. Darrell mixes up the routine, so every class is a surprise. I think that’s one of the things I enjoy about his class. It’s not just the same boring drill every time. It’s always fun and exciting and he throws in new exercises occasionally. It’s definitely a hard workout but I always leave class feeling great. You need to be 100 % committed to get the results you want and Darrell is very supportive and wants everyone to succeed. He’s always ready to offer both nutrition advice and exercises that will target your problem areas.
Being part of Darrell’s class has changed my life. It’s a part of my weekly routine and I can’t imagine not doing the class. I feel better now than I have in years. I have lost 40 lbs. and have more energy than ever before. I love shopping for a size 8 and not a size 14 anymore. My eating habits have changed drastically, and I feel strong and happy with the results I have achieved, but I couldn’t have done it without Darrell’s help. Joining his class was the best thing I have done for myself in years. So what are you waiting for? The new you, is just a phone call away. I can’t wait to see you in class.
Thanks Darrell, for believing in me and for helping me believe in myself.
Stepping on the scale and seeing "200" plastered across its screen was one of the reasons why I signed up for personal training sessions with Darrell Jack. After discussing a few short term goals we started on my weight loss journey. I'm quite impressed by not only my personal progress, but also by Darrell's knowledge, guidance, and encouragement. Losing weight proved to be quite easy for me. Darrell and I would meet once or twice a week and I would include daily cardio routines into my already hectic days as a Flight Attendant. Along with the physical activities, Darrell introduced me to incorporating new foods into my diet and cutting back on calories from sweets and fast food. I never thought that I would peel off 39 pounds, be able to run 6miles, acquire upper body strength or fit into a size 6 dress. Although it took a lot of will power on my part to be able to self improve, I also know that having Darrell as my trainer played a significant role as I certainly wasn't able to do it alone. Having to be accountable to him kept me on track as, I knew I would have to endure strength training workouts, measurements and weigh-ins and comments whether I wanted to hear them or not. I highly recommend spending the time and money on training with Darrell. Instead of using the money on dining out, clothes in a size 14 or blood pressure meds, I choose to put it to a more productive use. Darrell's personal training not only changed my life, but it changed me for a better, healthier me. I continue to have new personal goals I'd like to obtain which I credit to Darrell pushing me to new heights I never thought possible. -Vanessa Meier, Satisfied Client
I had gotten to a point where I was very close to my heaviest pregnancy weight. I tried losing the weight with diet and exercise, as I had done before. I was having a difficult time getting into a routine and making time to get to the gym. I decided to see a weight loss professional and was recommended to take an appetite suppressant, although I ate only once a day in the evenings. I could not commit to that idea and looked into personal training. At the same time, my employer started a Biggest Loser Contest, and I wanted to win, so I decided to try personal training to get back into the routine of getting into the gym. I did not realize that I was signing up for so much more.
I weighed in at 208 pounds and had lots to learn. I had to re-work my eating habits and my workouts. Darrell would review my eating log and help me adjust my calorie intake and what I was consuming. I really needed that honesty and straight-forwardness that Darrell offered. I was challenged to decide whether or not I was going to accept the successes along the way as all I could accomplish, or work harder for more. I learned plenty of new exercises and routines that I can do independently at home, at the gym or on the go. If I were faced with the same decision again, I would choose the personal training again because it provides the individual support and encouragement to continue working towards a very personal goal. I am very close to my goal weight and have lost over 50 pounds.
Hi my name is Michelle and I am a client of Darrell Jack. My body frame is petite and in 2006 I weighed in at a 185 pounds. and a size 14 jeans, which is the heaviest that I have ever weighed. I looked at pictures of myself and was very disappointed in myself forever getting that big. After my back surgery in 2007, and getting the Dr.’s permission to go to the gym and work out I was able to get Darrell as my Personal Trainer. Before I started working out with Darrell I started to change my eating habits, which is very important to weight loss.
Darrell is a tough cookie but well worth having him as a trainer. He always challenged me, and I always took on his challenges. So be ready to expect the unexpected. The main thing in working out with a trainer is to be 110% committed in what is thrown out at you, and doing what is to be expected. Giving 110% to your workouts and changing your eating habits and never giving up will bring you that much closer to your goal(s). Now I weigh in at 145 pounds. and I am down to a size 6 – 8 depending on what type of jeans / pants I can get into. I bought a mini-skirt for the first time ever and I am very proud of myself for even buying it. This weight loss brought my confidence back, and now when I look at pictures of myself I am happy that I signed up with Darrell.
At 250 pounds, and facing Insulin injections for the rest of my life, I decided to change my diet and exercise routines. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical about going to a personal trainer, but something about Darrell’s non-salesman approach and genuine interest in my overall health convinced me to give him a shot. The first session was used for a fitness test, body fat measurement, overall assessment, and goal setting. He asked about my diet and made recommendations. He was very clear about what WE had to do to see results, and explained that getting a physical workout was only a part of what was needed. Understanding what my body needs along with when is important. His workouts were NEVER (and still are not) the same. At times, I wondered if he made this stuff up as he went along. It made me look forward to my sessions. I never thought that a 50 minute workout would be so involved, extensive, or exhausting. Three months after starting with Darrell, I managed to lose 30 pounds and 7% body fat. All of a sudden, my jeans fit loose on the waist and on my legs. My shirts were loose around my chest, and my strength had increased dramatically. I had more energy than ever before, and slept like a baby every night. I was, and still am very pleased with the results. To this day, I am still seeing great results, and feel healthier than ever. I have changed my eating habits because I want to, and still eat pretty much whatever I want. In total, I have lost nearly 100 pounds in 11 months. Insummary, if you want definite results, and want a REAL trainer that pays attention to more than just your workout - Darrell is your man.
